Matt Hampson chose to get busy living after sustaining his life changing injury in 2005.

This is the philosophy behind everything the Matt Hampson Foundation aims to do; we help people get busy living again after a life altering injury. Whether by helping them get back into sport or just assisting in making adjustments to their new life we are there to help and support them on their chosen path. All our beneficiaries are getting busy living and we are very proud of this fact.

"I've been lucky enough to meet Matt on a few occasions, including at charity dinners for his foundation and when he came to give a coaching session for my university rugby team in the US. Matt went out of his way to visit Iona University and give us valuable coaching, even though he was in New York City for a brief trip.
New York marathon 2022
My experiences with Matt and the foundation have always been a huge source of inspiration for me to live life to the fullest. By running the London marathon as a fundraiser for the foundation this year, I've finally found a way to make a meaningful contribution. I am particularly motivated to run for the foundation because I know that the funds will go towards helping the beneficiaries who face much harder challenges every day than I ever could".

Did I mention Elliot hated running, well now with all the training he LOVES running.... and is aiming for his 3rd marathon to be sub 4 hours! Watch this space!
